Amazon Web Services (AWS)

AWS is the most popular cloud platform. Most Fortune 500 companies use AWS exclusively or in addition to other cloud providers.

Troubleshooting

  • You must specify a region. You can also configure your region by running “aws configure”
  • CloudExceptions::CloudException – 400: VPCIdNotSpecified: No default VPC for this user
  • Open the system drive of an AWS instance you cannot log into
  • Error: Error creating LB Listener: ValidationError: ‘arn:aws:elasticloadbalancing:….b’ must be in ARN format

RDS Instances

  • The specified Security Group and Parameter Group are not set in the RDS instance
  • SQL Server AWS RDS instance ALARM FreeableMemory <=… MB
  • “incompatible-network” error when launching an AWS RDS instance
